28.01.2019. CIP AND MF UNZE: PRESENTATION OF DTD STUDIES IN BANJA LUCA (GIZ-DTD_EU PRO-LOCAL)

Continuing the presentation of the results of the project Development of an innovative process of education and networking in the field of wood processing in Central Bosnia ((giz-dtd_EU pro-local), members of the project team CIP and MF UNZE Prof. Darko Petković, assistant Emir Đulić and MDT Almir Akvić visited Banja Luka. In the first CENTRUM business system, with commercialist Nikola Kolesnik, they discussed trends in the production and sale of wooden assortments produced by the BH wood processing sector and assortments that are predominantly imported. That visit was followed by a visit to the company Nova drvna industrija doo Vrbas (http://www.nova-di-vrbas.ba ). At the site of today's factory, a steam sawmill was first built, which was the forerunner of the establishment of the wood industry "Vrbas", which has been operating under this name since 1949. In addition to sawmill processing, the production of final products has also been developed. In the eighties of the last century, DI "VRBAS" in the territory of the former SFRY became a leader in the production of dining sets, panel furniture, chairs for the American market and in furnishing facilities both in the country and in Europe. At the auction in 2008. The property of "Vrbas" was bought by "Niskogradnja" Laktaša and since then a new period in the development of "Vrbas" begins. With large investments in facilities and equipment, "NOVA DI VRBAS" doo is returning to the market with a recognizable design and quality of its products in a rounded technological process from the slitting of the logs to the final products. Production is organized into five production units: Primary processing; Massive furniture factory; Veneered furniture factory; Upholstered furniture factory and Furnishing of facilities. The UNZE project team was hosted by Davor Ponjević, head of factory maintenance, together with his colleagues who arranged a tour of all plants. At the end of the day's visit to Banja Luka at the Rectorate of UNBL, a meeting was held with representatives of the management of this higher education institution on the cooperation of the DTD study and a similar study that exists at UNBL. Key results of the giz-dtd_EU pro-local project were presented in all business systems visited by the UNZE project team. In particular, they discussed the potential model of DUAL COOPERATIVE education, which has not yet been systematically developed in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and which the Ministry of Education and Culture has been promoting for years.
