4-8.10.2016. MF AND CIP UNZE: FINAL SEMINAR ON THE RESI PROJECT IN TIRANA

The Polytechnic and Agricultural Universities from Tirana hosted the final seminar of the TEMPUS project RESI (Renewable Energy Studies in Western Balkan Countries – Tempus 544504-DE_Tempus-JPCR led by the University of Hohenheim, Germany) in which all members of the project consortium from the EU participated ( universities from Hohenheim, Stuttgart, Vienna, Bratislava and Sofia) and WBC countries (Zenica, Mostar, Podgorica and Tirana). The MF and CIP UNZE delegation consisted of Prof. Dr. Darko Petković, Prof. Dr. Šefket Goletić, Associate Professor Nusret Imamović and Associate Professor Džafer Dautbegović with three students from the mobility program within this project (Jasmina Buljubašić, Jakuta Imširović, Anida Ibrahimagić). During the plenary session of the conference, Prof. Dr. Darko Petković, on behalf of the University of Bosnia and Herzegovina, presented the project results and the challenges that Bosnia and Herzegovina faces when it comes to the rational use and potential for renewable energy sources. On the second day of the session, the project results of the UNZE team were presented (new master's study, equipped laboratories, etc.) and the students presented the results of their research during mobility to EU universities. On the third day, the sections presented programs for the development of PhD studies and the development of regional centers for renewable sources, as well as visits to two centers in Tirana. A special presentation was made by prof. Dimitris Mavrakis, from the University of Athens, which referred to the potential of regional cooperation and the importance of renewable energy sources. In bilateral discussions with the representatives of the Technical University from Sofia and the Technical University from Bratislava, further cooperation was agreed on the preparation of the application for the mobility program Erasmus + as well as some other European funds.
