The General Assembly of the UNIADRION network of universities was held - the University of Zenica was admitted to membership

On May 5, 2016, the General Assembly of UNIADRION, a network of universities and research centers from the Adriatic-Ionian region, began at 9:30 a.m. area, which this year is chaired by the University of Zadar.

After the welcoming speeches given by the Deputy Mayor Zvonimir Vrančić on behalf of the City of Zadar and the Head of the Administrative Department for Social Activities Ivan Šimunić on behalf of Zadar County, the representative of the rector of the University of Sarajevo, prof. Ph.D. Ugo Vlaisavljević, former president of UNIADRION.

Rector Prof. Ph.D. Dijana Vican then gave an appropriate speech to extend a warm welcome to the participants of UNIADRION, especially the representatives of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, in cooperation with whom the round table on the topic "Inter-university Cooperation - Connecting High Education and Labor Market" was organized. . Expressing her belief that this type of cooperation will continue in the future through the regular annual gathering, the rector emphasized her desire to successfully hold the conference, full of constructive proposals and discussions, and declared this year's General Assembly of UNIADRION open.

The General Assembly of UNIADRION, which took place on May 5 and 6, 2016, was attended by representatives of 21 universities from Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania and Greece, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Republic of Croatia, Adriatic-Ionian Initiatives, Agency for Mobility and EU Programs, Zadar County and the City of Zadar.

After the presentation by Prof. Dr. Dževad Zečić, rector of the University of Zenica, the General Assembly considered the application of the University of Zenica for membership and it received unanimous support.
