SIGNED AGREEMENT ON COOPERATION BETWEEN THE UNIVERSITY OF ZENICA AND THE BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA-AMERICAN ACADEMY OF ARTS AND SCIENCES

On Friday 17.06.2016. the University of Zenica hosted the representativeke of the Bosnian-Herzegovinian-American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and on this occasion the Agreement on scientific research and educational cooperation between the two institutions was signed.

The Bosnian-Herzegovinian–American Academy of Sciences and Arts (BHAAAS) is an internationally recognized institution. The purpose and goal of BHAAAS is to spread and develop science and art in the Bosnian diaspora in the USA and Canada. BHAAAS aims to connect Bosnian scientists, artists and individuals prominent in their professional fields, as well as to build bridges of cooperation with the homeland.

Respecting the goals and expressed needs, the University and BHAAAS agreed that it is extremely important for them to initiate mutual professional and scientific cooperation, such as organizing invited lectures, congresses, symposia, mentoring programs and participation in scientific research projects. The agreement also envisages joint work on research projects and applying to state, cantonal, international and EU funds, as well as collecting donations from international institutions and friendly countries for this purpose. This was an opportunity for the representatives of the two institutions to exchange ideas about the first projects and opportunities for cooperation, and the issue of the study stay of students of the University of Zenica in the USA was discussed in particular, with the support of representatives of the Academy.
