20.09.2016. CIP AND MF UNZE: MEETING WITH THE DELEGATION OF GIZ BIH

Less than a month after the protocol visit by the Delegation of the German Organization for International Cooperation GIZ (Deutsche Geselischaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ GmbH - www.giz.de ) again held a working meeting with representatives of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the University of Zenica. The hosts of the GIZ delegation (Karl Heinz Jach, component leader of the ProLocal program and Krunoslav Rašić, expert for sectoral development in the same program) were the vice-dean of the Ministry of Finance, acting professor A. Talić-Čikmiš, and the director of CIP UNZE Prof. Dr. D. Petković. cip_giz_160921-1In addition to the hosts and guests, there were also representatives of the Local Development Agency ZEDA, B.Sc. Senad Pašalić and B.Sc. Amir Kubat, manager of the LIND laboratory and representatives of the company FIS from Vitez, Mr. Bruno Šteko, B.Ecc. and Ivana Plenković, B.Ecc. After the presentation of the Prolocal program by GIZ representatives and the planned cooperation with UNZE in order to further strengthen the Triple-Helix model, the representatives of ZEDE and FIS presented their views on the planned project cooperation. In particular, there was talk about the Triple Helix model in the woodworking and metalworking sector and the role that the Ministry of Finance and CIP UNZE have in the same and the planned project application to the ProLocal program. The modalities of cooperation on the preparation of the project application for GIZ's tender were preliminarily agreed upon. Prof. Petković, in addition to the expressed interest of CIP and MF UNZE in participating in this project, also reiterated the interest of the University of Zenica and the University of Džemal Bijedić from Mostar to work on the development of a network of stakeholders in the field of renewable energy sources, which is realized from the Tempus project RESI ( holder University of Hohenheim from Germany) and where GIZ has already provided significant support to the organization of such a cluster (in Albania). Also, the importance of stronger involvement of students in this project through seminar and diploma theses, professional practice, etc. was emphasized. (development of products, technologies, organization and marketing) as is currently being done in the student entrepreneurship development project IDEA-lab.
