THE FACULTY OF MEDICINE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ZENICA PROCURED PLASTIN

Even in the era of the pandemic caused by the COVID-19 virus, the University of Zenica continues with activities to improve the quality of teaching. In recent days, valuable equipment for the anatomy laboratory arrived at the Faculty of Medicine. Namely, it is because the plastic was procured. Plastin is actually a plasticized non-toxic body that will be used by medical students to study the anatomy of the human body.

The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zenica was visited today by Mr. Adnan Jupić, the Minister of Health of the ZDK and Mr. Spahija Kozlić, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the ZDK, and accompanied by the Rector Prof. Dr.Sc. Damir Kukić, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr.Sc. Harun Hodžić, as well as the vice-chancellor of the University of Zenica and employees and representatives of students of the Faculty of Medicine, visited the premises of the Faculty, which are equipped with well-equipped laboratories for anatomy and histology.
"Thanks to the Government of ZDK, and especially to the Ministry of Health of ZDK and the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of ZDK, as well as to the Rector and the Board of Directors of the University of Zenica, we managed to obtain plasticine for the needs of our faculty. This is an extraordinary teaching that will help our students to enter the core and all the secrets of the anatomy of the human body. We hope that this preparation will be used by the next 15-20 generations of students," said Prof. Ph.D. Harun Hodžić, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine.

Prof. Ph.D.Sc. Damir Kukić, rector of the University of Zenica, thanked the Government of ZDK and the ministers for their exceptional support in the procurement of plastics, which will greatly improve the quality of teaching at the Faculty of Medicine.
It should not be mentioned that the procurement of plastics replaces the procurement of cadavers and the construction of storage pools, as well as reducing the need to hire new people, and huge savings are achieved.

Both ministries have announced support for the further work of both the Faculty of Medicine and other organizational units of the University of Zenica.
