Visit of the delegation from Japan to the University of Zenica
On Friday, January 6, 2017. The University of Zenica was visited by guests from Japan: Sakuichi Kono, professor from the Japan School of Policy Making and Tama University Tokyo, Yosuke Ochiai from the Edotec organization, Shunsuke Tsuboi, director of the Japanese IT company "Space Co. Ltd" and Miyoshi Hiroki, an expert on development and peace building of the Japanese agency JICA.
After visiting the laboratories of the Polytechnic and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, with the rector Prof. Dr. Dževad Zečić, vice-rector for international cooperation, vice-prof.dr. Malik Čabaravdić and vice-dean for scientific and research work of the Polytechnic Faculty, vice-prof.dr. With Samir Lemeš, they discussed the possibility of implementing the EDOTEC GLOBAL SCHOOL project at the University of Zenica (https://edotec.org/english/).
The project involves the organization of short courses with lecturers from Japan, on advanced information technologies (Blockchain, Data Analysis, VR, Robotics), for students of the University of Zenica. In addition to advanced knowledge and skills, students who complete these courses would receive certificates and the opportunity to contact Japanese employers, and within the project they would have the practical task of applying the acquired ICT skills to solve problems in society.
The call for students to apply for this project should be published in October.
