With the beginning of the new year 2017, the Ministry of Finance and CIP UNZE strengthened the program of inclusion of representatives of the business sector of wood processing in BiH, governmental and non-governmental agencies, ministries and chambers of commerce with the aim of obtaining the highest quality data that will provide the highest quality prerequisites for the proper structuring and development of Design and Technology studies in Drvoprerda (DTD) at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering UNZE. After the visit to the Đuzel business system in Žepč, the Dean of the MF, Assoc. Ph.D. Hadžikadunić and the Director of the CIP UNZE, Prof. Petković, visited the companies Prevet Interior and SECOM in Visoko, where they toured the production facilities and presented the planned concept of the DTD study at the MF UNZE to the management. In the conversation, the answers of the companies to the questionnaires and surveys currently conducted by representatives of the CIP UNZA and the ZDK Chamber of Commerce were elaborated with the aim of creating a list of priority learning outcomes needed by the labor market in the woodworking sector with the aim of creating the greatest possible finalization of finished products and creating the greatest added value.
As part of the work on the new studio, discussions were also held at the company Inside by Ecco in Sarajevo, Economic in Vitez, and the FBIH Chamber of Commerce and the ZDK Chamber of Commerce, with which the organization of a second round table on the development of DTD studies at the MF UNZE is planned in the coming period. In the current phase of work on this important project, work is coming to an end on the Elaboration on the justification of the development of DTD studies at the MF UNZE, work is being done on the NPP and the further involvement of the most representative stakeholders in this process. As the study of development in partnership with the University of Bern is planned, a new meeting with the delegation of this university is planned in February, after the visit of representatives of UNI Bern in September 2016, MF UNZE. During the visit, the Dean of the Ministry of Finance, Assoc. Dr. Hadžikadunić presented the potentials of the Ministry of Finance of UNZA to the representatives of the companies and offered different types of cooperation.
