HELD THE 6TH CONFERENCE 'MAINTENANCE 2020. / MAINTENANCE 2020'

On 20.11.2020. In 2016, the Sixth Conference 'ODZZAVANJE 2020. / MAINTENANCE 2020' was held in the reading room of the Institute 'Kemal Kapetanović' of the University of Zenica.

Although in the difficult circumstances of our overall social activity due to pandemic conditions, the realization of the Conference, with full compliance with prescribed health protection measures, has an even greater importance and contribution.

About 30 participants attended the conference, as well as about 15 participants on the 'on-line' portal. 45 works were submitted, and the presentation included 26 works (in person and through 'on-line' access). Colleagues from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia and Serbia took part. It is a particular pleasure that company representatives also attended the Conference.

This year, after the opening address of the President of the Organizational and Scientific Committee, the working part of the Conference began with two very interesting introductory presentations:

1. NATO CODIFICATION SYSTEM AS A GLOBAL TOOL FOR PROCUREMENT OF SPARE PARTS - Assoc. Ph.D. Marinko Aleksić, B.Sc. engineer, author and presenter, (Adriatic University, Maritime Faculty, Bar, Montenegro),
2. RELIABILITY AND LIFE CYCLE OF USER NETWORK EQUIPMENT FOR THE PROVISION OF TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICES - presented 'on-line' by Assoc. Ph.D. Ivan Grgurević (co-authors Ivan Jovović, PhD student; Mateja Jasak, MEng), University of Zagreb / Faculty of Traffic Sciences / Institute for Information and Communication Traffic.

After the introductory papers were presented, the Conference was realized through 4 sections and the presentation of papers.

Along with appropriate accompanying materials for Conference participants and company representatives, a brief electronic Compendium with about 370 pages and an advertising section was presented, and a printed version of the Compendium will be delivered to participants and company representatives in the very near future.

In the implementation of the Conference, in addition to all the participants, authors and co-authors of the papers, a special contribution was also made by the following companies: HIFA-OIL doo Tešanj BiH; RM-LH doo Zenica BiH, ĐURO ĐAKOVIĆ STROJNA OBRADA doo Slavonski Brod Croatia, POLIEX Berane Montenegro, PRIM CO COMPANY doo Donja Orahovica Gračanica BiH, SECOM doo Visoko BiH, VORNACA CEMENTA KAKANJ dd Kakanj BiH, IPI-INSTITUTE FOR ECONOMIC ENGINEERING Zenica BiH , BH SERVICE doo Vitez BiH, METACOMM doo Jajce BiH, BME doo Tešanj BiH.

The objectives of the Conference were:

• the gathering of experts who deal with the maintenance of work equipment, devices and systems from various aspects and their structural organization,
• communicating the results of research in the field of maintenance, both theoretical and practical, based on modern experiences and the needs of the economy,
• exchange of experiences from practical maintenance activities,
• transfer of modern knowledge in the field of methods, technologies and equipment from the field of maintenance.

We believe that in these conditions of difficult operations in all aspects, this year the Conference fulfilled the above-mentioned goals, and especially the goal of preserving its continuity is also important. Certainly, the Conference provided a special impetus for further contribution to the development of the economy in Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond.

By the way, at the previous Conferences 'MAINTENANCE' of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Zenica, which were held in 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2018, more than 250 scientific and professional papers were presented by over 500 authors and co-authors, with the participation of numerous participants from the economy. For organizing the previous Conferences, we express our special thanks to emeritus prof. Ph.D. Brdarević Safet and Prof. dr. Jašarević Sabahudin, as well as all other deserving ones.

For the successful implementation of the 6th Conference 'MAINTENANCE 2020', we would like to thank the members of the Organizational, Scientific and Review Committee, all Authors and Co-authors of the papers, companies, media representatives, and all other deserving people, in the hope that we will all together hold the next 7th Conference 'MAINTENANCE 2022' welcome in health and 'normal' living and working circumstances.
