25.10.2021. CIP AND MF UNZE: VISIT HARRAN UNIVERSITY OF SINLIURFA, TURKEY

The second destination within the framework of visits to eminent higher education institutions in Turkey for Prof. Dr. Darko Petković, director of CIP UNZA, was Harran University in Şinliurfa (HUS) - www.harran.edu.tr. In presenting this university, founded in 1992, which is in the Top 2000 universities in the world on the webometrics list, Rector Prof. Dr. Sabri Mehmet Čelik says: "Universities are environments where the cultural and intellectual worlds of our youth are shaped. As individuals who are open-minded, committed to ethical values, socially responsible, know how to learn, excited and have intellectual depth, who in addition to education have the ability to quickly adapt to any challenge and innovation for a rapidly changing life. The main priority of Harran University, which was led by "smart people" and who set their hearts on the path of science and wisdom, is to provide its students with world-class knowledge in accordance with current and future needs, to provide academic staff and students with a research infrastructure that will enable the creation of knowledge for the benefit of all humanity and especially our country. Today HUS has 14 faculties, 4 schools, 1 state conservatory, 13 professional schools, 3 institutes, 15 research and application centers. About 27,000 students are educated there, educated by more than 1,200 teachers and assistants. In a conversation with the dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, prof. Bulut and the director of TTO HUS Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kocakoglu Prof. Petković presented UNZE. In particular, they talked about potential areas of cooperation and the planned signing of the Cooperation Agreement (MoU) as soon as possible.
