On 06.09.2017. in the organization of the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton and the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zenica, in the building of the Faculty of Economics and Law, a presentation of the study entitled "Modeling the distribution of public revenues in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina with reflections on Zenica-Doboj Canton" was held, authored by prof. Ph.D.Sc. Nina Serdarevića and Prof. Ph.D. Nedžad Polić.

The project modeling the long-term sustainable system of distribution of public revenues, which was realized by the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zenica on the order of the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton, aims to adequately treat the position of Zenica-Doboj Canton in the system of distribution of public revenues, especially those of an indirect nature through the perspective of established, but and potential criteria for distribution that will serve to satisfy the principle of fiscal federalism. The fundamental goal of this scientific-research challenge stems from the need to check the quality of the position of the Zenica-Doboj Canton in the public revenue distribution system with special attention to distribution criteria and weights, in the context of the general ambition to establish a long-term acceptable public revenue distribution structure according to the principles of fiscal federalism . The authors also presented the basic principles and models of fiscal federalism in developed countries in the world, primarily fiscal federalism in Switzerland and the Federal Republic of Germany, and in the surrounding area, that is, in the Republic of Croatia.

The attendees were greeted with an opening address by Prof. Ph.D.Sc. Damir Kukić, Rector of the University of Zenica and Mr. Miralem Galijašević, Prime Minister of the Zenica-Doboj Canton. The results of the conducted scientific research were presented to the guests, and the authors, prof. dr.sc., answered the questions. According to the representatives of the government and representatives present today, there is a general interest in submitting the above-mentioned document in the form of an initiative to start the procedure for drafting a new or amending the existing Law on the Distribution of Public Revenues of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
