Monday, April 16, 2018 was a business day for students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Polytechnic who, as part of their classes at the Department of Industrial Engineering and CIM Systems, visited several business systems in Central Bosnia. It started at 8:45 a.m. with a visit to the ECOS Vitez business system, where students saw the production of flexible pipes for water and gas installation, assembly and testing of various types of faucets, etc. element of plumbing installations. The host of the visit was the head of production, Eng. Mladen Pranjković - After that, at 9:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., there was a visit to the KRISTAL Vitez business system. Students saw different types of glass processing and the production of iso-glass for windows, glass for shower cabins, sinks, mirrors, building facades, etc. Kristal is the largest company in this field in Bosnia and Herzegovina and a very respectable business system in this field. The hosts of this part of the visit were director Nikola Franjić and his colleagues. From 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. there was a visit to the PALAVRA Furniri business system in Biloj. Students had the opportunity to see and familiarize themselves with the technology of peeling and scraping veneers from different types of wood. This company is the largest regional veneer producer and almost all production is exported to EU countries, Japan and others. The host of the visit was the owner Mr. Predrag Palav. And at the end of 13:00 - 16:00, there was a visit to the business system FIS - Ambienta in Vitez. From the several production factories that FIS has in the Vitez Business Zone (PC 96), the students saw the production of furniture made of mediapan, chipboard and solid wood, the production of parquet and the production of pellets.
