15.05.2018. MF UNZE: PRACTICAL TEACHING FOR STUDENTS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF MAINTENANCE

The third-year students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering UNZE had on 15.05.2018. full-day practical classes in business systems in Kakanj. The practical classes began with a visit and a lecture on the state of mining technologies and the role of maintenance at the Surface Mine Whirlpool RMU Kakanj. Students had the opportunity to hear about the present moment of RMU Kakanj, the relationship between surface and pit exploitation, levels of mechanization and investments in the mining sector, expansion plans and expected trends in this important area for each country. After a two-hour lecture in the directorate of the surface mine, the students saw some of the mechanization and equipment of this mine. After the Mine, the students visited the Kakanj Cement Plant, where during the visit there was a major overhaul of the plant, which was an excellent opportunity for detailed access to each system and the opportunity to see many things that cannot be seen in the normal functioning of the system. In particular, there was talk about the implementation of methods of defecting technical systems, repair technologies and the application of technical diagnostic methods in repair planning. The third business system to be visited was the Kakanj Thermal Power Plant, where a detailed introduction to the state and prospects of the development of this large energy facility (executive director N.Sikira) and the functioning of the Kakanj Thermal Power Plant followed. Since the 230 MW unit is undergoing overhaul, the students had the opportunity to see parts of the plant that are not accessible during normal operation. The students were accompanied by the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Darko Petković, and assistants, Assistant Professor Raif Seferović, Assistant Professor Fuad Klisura, and Asst. Emir Đulić.
