Public lecture on the protection of intellectual property, on Monday, December 3, 2018. at the Polytechnic Faculty

The public lecture on the topic "PROTECTION OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY IN BIH WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO THE PROTECTION OF SOFTWARE INVENTIONS" is jointly organized by the Polytechnic Faculty of the University of Zenica and the Institute for Intellectual Property of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the International Organization for Migration ( IOM), as part of the project "Diaspora for Development - D4D". D4D is a project of the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees of BiH and the Government of Switzerland, in partnership with UNDP BiH and IOM BiH.

The lecturers will be Dragana Marić Mešić, senior patent associate of the Institute for Intellectual Property of BiH, and Tarik Kapić from Bovard LTD, Patent and Trademark Attorneys, Switzerland. The lecture will be held in classroom 3201 of the Polytechnic Faculty of the University of Zenica, Fakultetska 1, on Monday, December 3, 2018, from 12:00 to 15:00.

The term intellectual property (IV) refers to creations of the mind such as inventions, literary and artistic works, symbols, names, images and designs used in industry. It is divided into two categories: industrial property (inventions-patents, trademarks, industrial designs, designations of geographical origin, integrated circuit topographies and plant varieties) and copyright (literary and artistic works). Software products are a specific category that is not easy to protect as intellectual property, and you can learn more about this topic at this public lecture. The lecture is open to all interested students and academic staff of the University.
