18.01.2019. CIP AND MF UNZA: WORKING MEETING AT UNSA FACULTY OF FORESTRY

In order to prepare for the competition procedure and the selection for the core subjects of the Department of Design and Technology in Woodworking at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering UNZE, which should be done in order to complete the teaching team for the academic year 2019/20. the head of the project team on the GIZ RIPUED project, Prof. Dr. Darko Petković, had a working meeting with R. Prof. Dr. Safet Gurda, a long-time professor at the Department of Mechanical Technology of Wood Processing (MTD) at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, UNSA and ex-dean of the Faculty of Forestry. The topic of the conversation was the completion of the teaching team for the beginning of the teaching process, cooperation with the Faculty of Education of UNSA, and the composition of the commission for the selection procedures. Prof. Petković met prof. I am proud of the activities on the GIZ-RIPEUD project, and especially the activities that have been carried out in the last few months on the promotion of studies and the establishment of wider cooperation with Italian and German partners. The concept of the development of new laboratories that are being worked on at the MF UNZE for the needs of this direction as well as other directions at the MF was presented, namely: IT design Lab, which is being developed in cooperation with the company BIESSE from Pezar, and the FabLab-laboratory, which will serve for manual-machine development of wood products, which was equipped through the GIZ-RIPEUD project. In this way, in addition to the already existing IDEA_lab, the Laboratory for design and technologies in wood processing, and the LIND laboratory for testing wood products, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering completes the infrastructural prerequisites for a quality start of the new study. Prof. Gurda stressed that an opportunity should be given to young staff who have been trained by the Ministry of Finance in this area in the last few years and who also have notable production and business references in wood processing plants in Bosnia and Herzegovina. With cooperation with several names from other faculties from Sarajevo and the ex-SFRJ region, it is to be expected that with excellent infrastructural assumptions and a highly developed economic base, quality students and thus quality future experts for the needs of this business sector in BiH will be obtained.
