As part of the promo day at the end of the GIZ RIPUED project - Development of an innovative process of education and networking in the field of wood processing in Central Bosnia, the head of the project team Prof. Dr. Darko Petković with associate assistant Emir Đulić visited the SECOM company in Visoko. At the company's new location in the finishing and assembly halls with the executive director dr sc. The modalities of cooperation in 2019 were discussed with Sanin Hasanić, which already started with the visit of UNZE students to this company at the beginning of 2019. Dr. Hasanić presented the company's very successful performance at the IMM Fair in Cologne (http://www.imm-cologne.com/) and new products that the company from Visoko presented in Germany through the WOOD-team brand. Along with the invitation for employees to participate in the seminars at the Ministry of Education and Culture of UNZE on January 24 and 31, 2019, work on two new laboratories that are being developed at the Ministry of Education was also discussed: IT design Lab, which is being developed in cooperation with the company BIESSE from Pezar and FabLab-laboratory which will be used for hand-machine development of wood products and which is equipped through the GIZ-RIPEUD project. After a tour of the production facilities to define the processes that SECOM will provide for the IT design lab of the MF UNZE, they also discussed potential graduate theses and issues that can be researched in 2019 through topics that are open to students and staff of the UNZE. A short English dictionary for woodworkers, which is in the final stages of development, was also presented. Prof. Petković asked the management of SECOM to help equip the IT design lab, which, along with the existing IDEA_lab, the Laboratory for Design and Technologies in Wood Processing, the LIND laboratory for testing wood products, and solid cooperation with companies in the region, will represent the most important infrastructural resource for the teaching process at MF UNZE for a quality start of a new study in the academic year 2019/20. year. Through the model of DUAL COOPERATIVE education, which has not yet been systematically developed in BiH, and which the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Ministry of Education and Culture UNZE has been promoting for years, it was emphasized that already today in numerous subjects at the Ministry of Education and Culture it has been achieved that 0.5-1 ECTS is achieved through practical teaching in the facilities of BiH companies. The Design and Technologies in Wood Processing study was conceived as a DUAL MODEL study and until the creation of legal regulations in BIH for this type of study, it will be realized as a COOPERATIVE study model with numerous partners in the project.
