25.01.2019. CIP AND MF UNZE: VISIT TO THE SINCRO COMPANY IN HRASNICA (GIZ-DTD_EU PRO-LOCAL)

In the continuation of the promo day at the end of the project Development of an innovative process of education and networking in the field of wood processing in Central Bosnia, members of the project team visited the company SINKRO in Hrasnica (www.syncro.com). Prof. Petković presented the new study program Design and Technologies in Wood Processing (DTD) which will start in the academic year 2019/20 at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering UNZE, the current results of the GIZ-DTD_EU_PROLOCAL project, the procurement of new equipment in UNZE laboratories for the needs of the teaching process as well as the wood processing sector and expectations for the construction of the BIESSE training center on the UNZE campus. The host in front of the company SINKRO was CoE HRM Mr. Alma Kuštrić, who presented the company, foreign investments in the ownership structure of the company and work for leading European brands in the field of upholstered furniture. By the way, the company Syncro was founded in 1997 and in a very short period became the regional leader in the sale of raw materials and fabrics for the production of furniture. Over the past 18 years, the company has grown and changed so that today it is one of the leading manufacturers of furniture in Southeast Europe (beds, sofas, lazy-bags, armchairs, etc.). Syncro has more than 300 employees, and production facilities are spread over 20,000 square meters in Hrasnica and Vlakovo. Synchro furniture, carefully designed in its own development department, is exported to 25 European countries. Prof. Petković also presented two new laboratories that are being developed at the Ministry of Finance: IT design Lab, which is being developed in cooperation with the company BIESSE from Pezar, and the FabLab-laboratory, which will be used for the manual-machine development of wood products, which is equipped through the Pro_Local project. This was followed by a tour of the company's facilities. Prof. At the end of the visit, Petković asked Mr. Kuštrić that the company SINKRO help in equipping the IT design lab which, along with the existing IDEA_lab, the Laboratory for design and technologies in wood processing, the LIND laboratory for testing wood products, and solid cooperation with companies in the region, will represent the most important infrastructure resource for the teaching process at the MF UNZE for quality the beginning of a new study.
