Competition of final year high school students in the presentation of scientific papers at the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology

After the successful completion of the first part of the project "Promotions of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology" in cooperation with the secondary schools of the city of Zenica, the preparations for the organization of competitions for students of the final grades of secondary schools in the presentation of scientific topics have been completed. The competition will be held on 11.04. 2019 in the premises of the Faculty of Metallurgical Technology starting at 10:00 a.m.

In addition to the promotion of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology, one of the goals of the mentioned competition is to point out the fact that the quality of the presentation is a significant factor that helps to go one step further towards improving one's own skills. Regardless of whether we are talking about activities in the course of education or professional tasks, young people are very often faced with the obligation to present a seminar paper, idea, plan, etc., while it must be borne in mind that a quality presentation greatly facilitates communication and helps to better argue the idea that is to be conveyed through the presentation.

In addition to the competition itself, the participants of the competition and the other graduates who will visit our Faculty that day will have the opportunity to visit the laboratories during the breaks and learn more about the study programs and the way of studying at the MTF.

In order to show themselves as real hosts, MTF students will also prepare a short entertainment program in which they will perform demonstration experiments in the fields studied at the Faculty.

The organization of the competition and the socializing with the students of the final grades of secondary schools were financially supported by the company "Pero" doo Zenica and the "Association of Physicists in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina", and we sincerely thank them for this.
