Admission for students who achieved excellent results in sports competitions
Today, the Rectorate of the University of Zenica hosted a reception for students who achieved excellent results in sports competitions
Students, professors and coaches were hosted by Prof. Ph.D.Sc. Damir Kukić, rector of the University of Zenica. The Rector sent sincere congratulations to the competitors, thanked them for the excellent promotion of the University of Zenica in the field of sports, and wished them much success in the upcoming competitions.
Prof. Ph.D.Sc. Aleksa Stanković informed the students about the plans for going to tournaments and competitions until the end of this year, as well as the plans for organizing the university league, and announced the participation of the sports teams of the University of Zenica in the international tournament in Dubrovnik in December 2019.
Prof. Ph.D.Sc. Damir Kukić, rector of the University of Zenica, presented the students with certificates of appreciation.
At the Construction Fair held at the beginning of May in Budva, in the overall ranking, along with sports activities, the students of the Polytechnic Faculty took third place, they brought cups and medals for winning 1st place in basketball for girls, 3rd place in volleyball for girls, 3rd place in chess and 4th place in men's volleyball.
Students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering took part in the Mašinijada, which was held simultaneously in Bečići, in men's volleyball, men's football, and men's and women's chess. Matches were played with faculty students from Podgorica 6:0, with faculty students from Niš in the quarterfinals 3:0, in the semi-finals with faculty students from Belgrade 5:1, and in the final a match was played with faculty students from Kraljevo, i.e. the gold football cup was won with a score of 6:4. In women's chess, our representatives won 5th place, and students won 3rd place in the men's chess competition.
It is important to point out the excellent result of the student of the Faculty of Economics, Ahmed Krnjić, who in April 2019 in Sofia, Bulgaria won the title of European champion in kick boxing (WAKO PRO association).
