The Swedish Institute (SI) has published two calls for applications within the framework of SI scholarships for the Western Balkans for the year 2016/2017. The scholarship program aims to strengthen the ties between the Western Balkans and the EU through the promotion of democratic, economic and social development. Ideal candidates are ambitious young professionals with outstanding academic qualifications, strong leadership skills and a clear vision of what benefits study/research in Sweden would bring to their country.

Education levels:

Master study (1 or 2 years)
Part of a doctoral study or postdoctoral research (6, 9 or 12 months)

Key dates for applications:

Master's level
1.12. 2015–15 January 2016: apply online for master's studies universityadmissions.se and pay the application fee
1. 02.2016: deadline for submitted documents and execution of payment. For more detailed information see universityadmissions.se
1.-13.02 . 2016: apply online for a scholarship si.se
12. 04.2016: List of successful scholarship candidates published on si.se
14.04. 2016: Deadline for accepting a place at the university

PhD/postdoctoral level
2.11.2015 – 16.01.2016: Call open
Mid May 2016: announcement of results
