The amphitheater of the Polytechnic Faculty was able to accommodate all those interested who came to listen to the lecture of Prof. Dr. Mirsad Hadžikadić on the topic "Big data, artificial intelligence and complex systems", held on November 27, 2018.
The lecture was intended primarily for students of the new "Software Engineering" department, so that students would have the opportunity to hear the topics taught at American universities, but the lecture was also attended by students from other departments, as well as interested University teaching staff.
Professor Hadžikadić, from the Institute for Complex Systems of the American University "North Carolina at Charlotte", has been dealing with this topic for over 20 years, and in his lecture he pointed out that the biggest problem facing Internet users today is the enormous amount of data that is almost impossible to separate. on reliable and unreliable. Using examples from American politics, business management, medicine, and autonomous vehicles, the concepts of artificial intelligence and complex systems were explained to the attendees in an accessible and comprehensible way.

The Polytechnic Faculty continues the practice of organizing public lectures already next week, when a public lecture will be held on the topic "PROTECTION OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY IN BIH WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO THE PROTECTION OF SOFTWARE INVENTIONS". The lecturers will be Dragana Marić Mešić, senior patent associate of the Institute for Intellectual Property of BiH, and Tarik Kapić from Bovard LTD, Patent and Trademark Attorneys, Switzerland.
