At the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Zenica, a ceremony was held to mark the 42nd year of work

Yesterday, at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Zenica, a ceremony was held to mark the 42nd year of operation of this faculty.

The ceremony was attended by the Rector and vice-rectors of the University of Zenica, representatives of the Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, employees of the faculty and the University, and numerous guests.

Prof. Ph.D.Sc. Fuad Hadžikadunić, dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, presented the significant results of the work of this faculty over the past forty years, as well as the current spatial capacities, equipment and teaching staff at the faculty's disposal, as well as plans for future investments with the aim of providing the highest quality education for students. On this occasion, the activities implemented in the framework of the project "EE reconstruction" on part of the buildings of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Zenica were presented and a certificate of appreciation was presented to Mr. Mensur Sinanović, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Zenica-Doboj Canton. Also, the activities of the GIZ - EU ProLocal project and the new study department "Design and technologies in wood processing" were presented.

The special importance of the cooperation of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering with business entities was highlighted, where students are offered various opportunities for training.

With the aim of continuing the excellent cooperation between the University and business entities, a Memorandum on Business Cooperation was signed between the University of Zenica and BH BIESSE Service for the establishment of a training and showroom center on the campus of the University of Zenica. The memorandum was signed by: Mr. Mensur Sinanović on behalf of the Government of Zenica - Doboj Canton, Prof. Ph.D. Damir Kukić on behalf of the University of Zenica and Mr. Alan Lisica on behalf of BH BIESSE Service.

At the end of this ceremony, the new study department "Engineering and Business Informatics - IPI" was promoted.
