CIP UNZE: "Workshop on investments and financial instruments supporting innovation and technology transfer" held in Belgrade
In Belgrade, on Wednesday and Thursday, March 1 and 2, 2017, the Joint Research Center of the European Commission (JRC EC) organized a Workshop on financial instruments that support projects focused on innovation and technology transfer in the countries of the Western Balkans, and more broadly, in the entire Danube region. region. The work took place on the first day in the premises of the Rectorate of the University of Belgrade, and on the second day the participants visited the Science and Technology Park (STP).
The goals were to identify existing financial instruments that support technology transfer and innovation activities in the region; to investigate where there are gaps and ways to respond to existing requirements, through the use of synergistic solutions. It also aimed to strengthen the community of practitioners working on these issues. Otherwise, it is a community that is just emerging and that needs help in order to make the impact of innovation on regional development as large as possible.
During the visit to NTP, participants had the opportunity to choose one of four sessions (1. on agro-industry, 2. on bio-technological industry, 3. on creative industry and 4. on eco-industry) and learn about the specifics of access to financial funds for each of these industries.
