Based on Article 67, paragraph 2, item b) and Article 68, paragraph (4) of the Law on Higher Education ("Official Gazette of the Zenica-Doboj Canton", number: 6/09, 9/13, 13/13, 4/15 , 05/18, 4/19, 19/20 and 15/21), Article 21.b. paragraph (6) of paragraph 4 of the Law on the Public Institution University of Zenica - Refined text - ("Official Gazette of the Zenica-Doboj Canton", number: 1/18 and 10/18), in accordance with Articles 114, 121 and 122. Statute of the University of Zenica (Refined text) and by the decision of the Scientific and Teaching Council of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Zenica, number: 03-200-001-294/22. from 15.04.2022. year, the University of Zenica publishes

 

COMPETITION

for the election of the Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Zenica

 

I

For the deanship of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the University of Zenica, a candidate who fulfills the following can be selected  general conditions:

a) that he is a citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina;
b) that he is older than 18 years;
c) that the candidate for dean is not prosecuted for a criminal offense and an economic offense incompatible with the function of dean;
d) that the candidate has not been convicted of a criminal offense or an economic offense incompatible with the position of dean.

 

In addition to the general conditions stipulated by law, the candidate should fulfill the following special conditions:

a) that the teacher holds the scientific-teaching title of full professor, associate professor or assistant professor, if he meets the legal requirements for that title;
b) that he is employed full-time at the University of Zenica, that is, that he signs a statement that he will establish such an employment relationship after the election;
c) to actively know at least one world language;
d) that he does not have a position in the executive bodies of a political party or an organization associated with a political party.

 

The dean is elected for a mandate period of 4 (four) years.

 

II

A candidate who has the ability to manage the Faculty, as evidenced by the submission of the Faculty's work and development program for the term of office, can be elected dean.

 

III

Along with the application to the Competition, the candidate is obliged to attach the original or a certified photocopy of the evidence of meeting the general and special conditions, namely:

1. A short biography with an overview of published scientific research and other works, address, contact phone number and e-mail address,
2. Certificate of citizenship in accordance with point a) of the general conditions;
3. Birth certificate, in accordance with point b) of the general conditions;
4. The decision on the last selection for a scientific-teaching position (full-time, associate professor or assistant professor), i.e. evidence of meeting the requirements for selection to one of the mentioned scientific-teaching positions at the University of Zenica according to the provisions of the Law on Higher Education ("Official Gazette of Zenica-Doboj of the canton", number: 6/09, 9/13, 13/13, 4/15, 5/18, 4/19, 19/20 and 15/21) and the provisions of the Statute of the University of Zenica (Refined text), in accordance with point a) of special conditions;
5. Certificate of full-time employment at the University of Zenica, i.e. a signed statement, certified by the competent authority or a notary, that after the election, he will establish such an employment relationship, in accordance with point b) of the special conditions;
6. Certificate of active knowledge of at least one world language, in accordance with point c) of the special conditions;
7. A statement that he does not hold a position in the executive bodies of a political party or an organization affiliated with a political party, certified by a competent authority or a notary, in accordance with point d) of the special conditions;
8. The Faculty's work and development program for the mandate period (to be submitted in printed and electronic versions (on CD), in accordance with Article II;

 

The documents mentioned in the previous paragraph must be originals or certified copies no older than 3 (three) months from the date of publication of the Competition, and the work and development program in electronic version (on CD):

If the diploma for the scientific degree of Doctor of Science was obtained abroad, the candidate must submit a decision on its nostrification.

The candidate is obliged to sign the competition application, a short biography with an overview of published scientific research and other works, address, contact phone number, e-mail address and the Faculty's Work and Development Program for the term of office.

 

IV

Candidates who meet the conditions required by the Competition will present their program of work and development of the Faculty at the election session of the Scientific and Teaching Council of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Zenica.

 

V

Applications with all necessary evidence must be submitted within 15 (fifteen) days from the date of publication of the Contest in a daily newspaper.

The candidate who is selected by the decision of the Scientific and Teaching Council of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Zenica is obliged to submit to the competition committee for the selection of the dean certificates/verifications of the competent courts within 7 (seven) days from the day of the session of the Scientific and Teaching Council of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Zenica with point c) of the general conditions and confirmation/verification of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in accordance with point d) of the general conditions of the Competition.

The above-mentioned certificates/certificates, not older than 3 (three) months from the date of issue by the competent authorities, are submitted by the candidates in the original or a certified copy.

 

VI

Applications, with all necessary evidence, must be submitted within 15 (fifteen) days from the date of publication of the Competition in the daily newspaper.

Information about the scope of work of the dean of the Faculty is available on the website of the University of Zenica www.unze.ba (Statute).

Incomplete and untimely applications will not be considered.

Applications for the Competition with the necessary evidence are submitted in a sealed envelope by registered mail or to the protocol of the Rectorate of the University of Zenica, to the address:
