Digital transformation of SMEs in the processing industry ZDK

The University of Zenica within the framework of the implementation of the project "Digital transformation of SMEs in the processing industry ZDK" together with the Chamber of Commerce of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, the Faculty of Economics in Kragujevac and the Faculty of Engineering Sciences in Kragujevac, and representatives of 7 pilot companies (STEEL Company doo Jelah-Tešanj; Kopić Pro Fab-KPF doo Tešanj; Metal Land doo Doboj; KPM and Plastics Processing Center doo Tešanj), as well as representatives of 5 companies chambers of the Zenica-Doboj canton (Pobjeda doo Tešanj, Krivaja Metali doo Zavidovići, Tisa Komerc doo Žepče, Green Light doo Tešanj and SB Elektro Tešanj) was successful in the period 25-27 April 2024. realized a scientific and business visit to Kragujevac, where at the Faculty of Economics in Kragujevac innovative transfers of knowledge and applicable business practices were realized with representatives of the academic community of Kragujevac and 5 companies from the Šumadija region represented by the Kragujevac Chamber of Commerce (IQS Presses doo Kragujevac, Kovintrade doo Kragujevac, Nikom doo Kragujevac, Fortaco doo Gruža and Alfa Technics doo Svilajnac), and established long-term R&D partnerships with concluded cooperation agreements between the Chamber of Commerce of the Zenica-Doboj Canton and the Chamber of Commerce of Kragujevac, i.e. the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zenica and the Faculty of Economics in Kragujevac, as well as the Mechanical faculty of the University of Zenica and the Faculty of Engineering Sciences in Kragujevac.

The mentioned project lasts 10 months, and its total value is EUR 138,584.00, of which EUR 97,584.00 is financed by the European Union within the framework of EU4DigitalSME. The bearer of the project activities is the University of Zenica in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce of Zenica-Doboj Canton, the Faculty of Economics of the University of Kragujevac and the Faculty of Engineering Sciences in Kragujevac, and 7 pilot companies: STEEL Company doo Jelah-Tešanj; Kopić Pro Fab-KPF doo Tešanj; SSAM PLAST doo Jelah-Tešanj; Metal Land doo Doboj South; Prima Commerce doo Zenica; KPM – BH Metal and Plastics Processing Center doo Tešanj and Kalim Profil Ltd. Tesanj.

The project "Innovations and digitalization of small and medium-sized enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina", which includes the EU4DigitalSME project, aims to create a favorable environment for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to successfully implement digitalization and innovation transformations. "EU4DigitalSME" has a value of 6.1 million euros, and it is jointly financed by the European Union (5 million euros) and the Federal Republic of Germany (1.1 million euros). EU4DigitalSME together with the project of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development entitled "Go Digital in Bosnia and Herzegovina" is part of the EU4SMEs program for the digital transformation of SMEs.
