Director of the "Ataturk" Research Center visited the University of Zenica
On Wednesday, May 18, 2022, Prof. Ph.D. Yüksel Özgen, director of the "Ataturk" Research Center of the Department of Culture, Language and History of the Turkish Linguistic Society, visited the University of Zenica, Faculty of Philosophy, Department of Turkish Language and Literature. The visit started with a meeting held at the Rector's Office of the University of Zenica, which, apart from prof. Ph.D. Yüksel Özgen and rector prof. Ph.D. Jusuf Duraković, attended by the education attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Sarajevo, prof. Ph.D. Faruk Berat Akçeşme and head of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature prof. Ph.D. Edina Solak. Rector Duraković and Professor Solak thanked Professor Özgen for the support and help that the "Ataturk" Research Center provides to the academic staff of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature in the process of their professional and scientific training. Professor Özgen said that Turkish scientific institutions engaged in linguistic research pay great attention to the improvement of the university study of the Turkish language abroad and that he is proud of the fact that the Department of Turkish Language and Literature is a respectable educational and scientific unit of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Zenica.
Prof. Ph.D. Yüksel Özgen gave a lecture to the students of the Department of Turkish Language and Literature of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Zenica, and participated in a panel discussion organized by the Department of Turkish Language and Literature within the project "Culture of memory: The contribution of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk in the process of the development of the modern Turkish language and contemporary Turkish literature and its role in the struggle for women's equality in the Republic of Turkey". The Rector of the University of Zenica, Prof. Ph.D. Jusuf Duraković, dean of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Zenica, prof. Ph.D. Alica Arnaut, education attaché of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Sarajevo, prof. Ph.D. Faruk Berat Akçeşme and the director of the Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center in Sarajevo, Mehmet Akif Yaman, and prizes were awarded to the most successful participants in the essay writing and poetry recitation competitions.
