Final public discussion regarding the set of new documents of the Agency for the Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance (HEA)

Organized by the Agency for the Development of Higher Education and Quality Assurance (HEA) in Banja Luka on September 8, 2016. held a final public discussion regarding the set of new documents prepared by the Agency in the field of development and quality assurance in higher education. The final public hearing brought together representatives of public and private higher education institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Ministry of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Center for Recognition of Documents in the Field of Higher Education, and representatives of international organizations involved in higher education reforms.

The subject of the final discussion were four documents: Criteria for accreditation of study programs, Decision on norms that determine minimum standards in the field of higher education, Recommendations on criteria and standards to the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Srpska, cantonal ministries and Brčko District of BiH for the establishment and closure of higher education institutions, and for the restructuring of study programs and Recommendations on criteria for licensing higher education institutions and study programs. The above-mentioned documents represent the result of the Agency's development plans in the field of accreditation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, primarily study programs, and are part of the Agency's new systemic approach in strengthening recommendations to the relevant ministries of education in Bosnia and Herzegovina within the competences assigned to the Agency in accordance with the Framework Law on Higher Education in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In front of the University of Zenica, the vice-rector for international cooperation and quality assurance attended the public debate v.prof.dr.sc. Malik Čabaravdić, and the University's quality manager, Assoc. Ph.D. Ibrahim Plancic, who presented a series of remarks, proposals and suggestions on the mentioned documents during the presentation and discussion.
