The XI Scientific and Professional Symposium with international participation "Metallic and non-metallic materials, production-properties-application" has been completed.

On April 21 and 22, 2016, at the Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials of the University of Zenica, the XI Scientific/Professional Symposium with international participation "Metallic and non-metallic materials, production-properties-application" was held. Scientific workers from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the surrounding area participated in the Symposium with their papers. The scientific/professional Symposium was an opportunity to meet and exchange experiences and opinions of people engaged in science and representatives of companies engaged in the production and processing of metallic and non-metallic materials. At the opening of the Symposium, plenary lectures were held by representatives of RHI from Leoben (Austria) and ArcelorMittal Hamburg (Germany), the world's leading producers of refractory materials and steel. After the plenary lectures, the work continued in three parallel sections by thematic areas:
– Metal materials
– Non-metallic materials
– Environmental protection and sustainable development

About 50 scientific and professional papers from the above fields were presented within the Symposium. On the second day of the Symposium, a visit to the museum and library of the Franciscan monastery in Fojnica was organized for the participants.

In addition to the presentation of scientific and professional papers, the Symposium was also an opportunity for interested companies to advertise their products and services they offer on the market.
