15.04.2016. CIP UNZE: PROMOTION OF IDEA-LAB AND RESI PROJECTS AT THE BUSINESS FAIR IN MOSTAR

On April 15, 2016, representatives of CIP UNZA attended the large trade fair in Mostar, where more than 800 companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the WBC region, the EU and the world participated. During the tour of the Fair, the greatest attention was focused on companies from the energy sector, ecology, wood processing and metal processing, which presented RESI projects ("Renewable Energy Studies in Western Balkan Countries") and iDEAlab ("Fostering students' entrepreneurship and open innovation in university-industry collaboration).
Presenting the IDEA-lab concept, Prof. Petković, the director of CIP, emphasized to the businessmen that the new premises and equipment at UNZE should function as centers for the development of student entrepreneurship, i.e. as pleasant (so-called collaborative) spaces should enable the development of student business ideas, the creation and testing of prototypes. Within the presentation of the RESI project, the emphasis was on the promotion of the master's study that will begin at the MF UNZE under the title "Renewable energy sources and ecological sustainability", the presentation of a new, modernly equipped ecology laboratory, and the concept of the future PhD study, which should seek its practical research foundation in the business sector of BIH and WBC. Special attention to the presentation of these projects was given to partners who were also participants of the Fair in Mostar, namely the University of Mostar, which presented a student prototype of a motor vehicle, the Center for Technical Culture Mostar, TP Intera Mostar, the Development Agency of Herzegovina REDAH, Development Agencies of the Municipality of Teslić , Tešanj and Žepče, and other business systems.
We emphasize that the recognition for the most innovative stand at the Fair was awarded to the TRA (Tešanje Development Agency), which is led by one of the external associates of CIP UNZA, Assoc. Dr. Ismar Alagić.
