In the Guide for freshmen, there are no enrollment quotas determined by the competent cantonal ministry, which are established in the month of June each year. Data on quotas will be published in the competition for the enrollment of students in the first year of study. We recommend that you regularly monitor the University's website or contact the faculty's student services by phone to obtain additional information. Enrollment conditions will be specified in the competition, and the candidate ranking procedure is transparent with clearly defined criteria for each study program.

Faculty of Economics

The ranking of candidates is based on the total number of points achieved according to the following criteria:

  1. general criterion: achieved success in secondary education;
  2. individual criterion: success in the subjects Bosnian, Croatian, Serbian language and mathematics

Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences

The ranking of candidates is based on the total number of points achieved according to the following criteria:

  1. general criterion: achieved success in secondary education;
  2. individual criterion: success in the subjects of mathematics, science and chemistry.

Faculty of Mechanical Engineering

The ranking of candidates is based on the total number of points achieved according to the following criteria:

  1. general criterion: achieved success in secondary education;
  2. individual criterion: achieved success in the subjects of Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian languages, mathematics and Zika;

Faculty of Philosophy

The ranking of candidates is based on the total number of points achieved according to the following criteria:

  1. general criterion: achieved success in secondary education;
  2. individual criterion: achieved success in two subjects in two classes of high school, which are important for the corresponding study (on all study programs);

Faculty of Law

The ranking of candidates is based on the total number of points achieved according to the following criteria:

  1. general criterion: achieved success in secondary education;
  2. individual criteria: success in the subjects of Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian language and history;

Faculty of Medicine

The ranking of candidates is based on the total number of points achieved according to the following criteria:

  1. general criterion: achieved success in secondary education;
  2. individual criterion: achieved success in the subjects Zika, biology and chemistry;
  3. entrance exam for candidates of the general medicine study program.

Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy

The ranking of candidates is based on the total number of points achieved according to the following criteria:

  1. general criterion: achieved success in secondary education;
  2. individual criterion: achieved success in subjects, which are important for the respective study (on all study programs).

Polytechnic Faculty

The ranking of candidates is based on the total number of points achieved according to the following criteria:

  1. general criterion: achieved success in secondary education;
  2. individual criterion: - achieved success in the subjects of mathematics and science;
  3. entrance examination.

Special criteria that apply to all faculties

Special criteria refer to awards for success and competitions during education, namely:

  1. results achieved at competitions in subjects relevant to a specific study program; you
  2. special recognition "Student of the generation".

The above data are preliminary conditions for registration. The exact definition of all conditions for admission is carried out by the scientific-teaching council of each faculty and they are included in the competition for admission of students to the 1st (first) year of studies at the University of Zenica, i.e. member faculties. Therefore, eventual changes are possible in terms of the existence or non-existence of qualification/admission exams, mentioned in this Guide.
