Addendum to the diploma (eng. DIploma Supplement) is a document that is attached to a diploma or to another document on the completion of a certain degree of study. It provides a detailed insight into the level, nature and content of studies, as well as into the system and rules of studying at a specific higher education institution. This document is drawn up by a national higher education institution that issues a diploma in accordance with the general model of this document adopted at the European level.
The layout of this document was also adopted by the Senate of the University of Zenica in 2005, and after the adoption of the general model of the diploma supplement for our country, adopted by the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Basically, the diploma supplement contains:
- information that identifies the holder of the qualification;
- information that identifies the qualification;
- information on qualification level;
- information about content and results achieved;
- information about the qualification function;
- more information;
- certifying the addendum to the diploma;
- information about the national system of higher education
The supplement to the diploma should necessarily be printed bilingually, i.e. in Bosnian, Croatian or Serbian and in English, with the fact that it cannot in any way replace the diploma as a document.
