The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Zenica has a heritage of 40 years of tradition in the education of mechanical engineers of various professions. Curricula are aligned with ECTAS, with the possibility of vertical and horizontal transferability. The faculty has 8 main departments and has 10 laboratories with the most modern equipment for student education and scientific research work. The application of 3D-printing technologies, the creation of the first 3D-printer in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the implementation of several robotic systems are particularly noteworthy. New departments of the first cycle of studies Engineering and Business Informatics and Design and Technologies in Wood Processing are also being prepared. Every year, students must go on various educational and professional excursions abroad. Special attention is paid to the international mobility of students and teachers through participation in the CEEPUS and ERASMUS+ networks. The faculty has long-term cooperation with over 120 companies in BiH and abroad, where many of our engineers work, often in management and development positions. The study of mechanical engineering trains experts to work in the areas of product development, construction, use and maintenance of plants and devices, design and management of production technologies, testing, renewable energy sources, environmental engineering, automation, robotization, measurement, etc. Students use modern software tools from the domain of CAD, CAM, CAE, PDM, PDL, etc. for product design and analysis, product development, production technology, etc. Long-term monitoring of the results of our work indicates the quality of the study programs and the output competencies of the graduates in practice, the validity of the diploma in Europe and the world, as well as the fact that there are no unemployed mechanical engineering graduates from this Faculty.
Note: At the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, in the first and second cycle of studies (undergraduate and master's studies), you can study as a full-time student funded by the Founder and as a full-time self-funded student.
