CONFERENCE "DAY FOR PUPILS" HELD IN GELSENKIRCHEN

In the new building of the City Hall in Gelsenkirchen (Germany) on Friday 20.05.2016. held a conference entitled "Day for Zenica". The patron and active participant of the conference was the mayor of Gelsenkirchen, Mr. Frank Baranowski, and the main topic was the improvement of relations between the partner cities of Gelsenkirchen and Zenica. The field of higher education and scientific research work is recognized as one of the most important areas of cooperation. Representatives of the University of Zenica, rector prof. Dr. Dževad Zečić and vice-rector for international cooperation and quality assurance prof. Dr. Malik Čabaravdić, presented the University of Zenica to the participants of the conference and in a direct conversation with the rector of Westfalische Hochschule Gelsenkirchen, prof. Ph.D. Kriegesmann, the directions of further cooperation with this higher education institution were agreed upon, primarily in the field of exchange of students and teaching staff as well as joint projects in certain scientific fields. In addition to the representatives of the University, numerous representatives of the two cities from the fields of education, culture and sports participated in the conference, among them the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, Mr. Mensur Sinanović, and the representative of the City Administration of Zenica, Mr. Zijad Imamović.
