Study visit to Serbia and Croatia by students of the Department of Metallurgy and the Department of Materials: Department of Metal Materials
In the period from May 16 to May 20, 2016, third- and fourth-year students of the Department of Metallurgy and Department of Materials: Department of Metal Materials made a study visit to Croatia and Serbia. The study visit included a visit to the Faculty of Metallurgy in Sisak, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Slavonski Brod, the Technical Faculty in Bor, the Institute of Mining and Metallurgy in Bor and the facilities of the RTB kombinat smelter in Bor. As part of the visit to the mentioned institutions, the students had the opportunity to talk with teachers and students, visit laboratories and production facilities and learn about new production technologies.
In addition to the professional side of the study trip, the students had the opportunity to socialize with their colleagues in their free time, get to know their way of studying and student life, visit certain cultural institutions in the mentioned cities, etc.
The students were accompanied by Prof. Ph.D.Sc. Ilhan Bušatlić, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Ph.D. Almaida Gigović Gekić, vice dean for teaching and student affairs and Prof. Ph.D. Hasan Avdušinović, vice dean for NIR, and the visit was also used for discussions with the deans and professors of the host faculty about future forms of cooperation and the implementation of joint projects.
Funds for the realization of the study trip were provided through the project of the Federal Ministry of Education and Science (Transfer for the Implementation of the Bologna Process).
