IX INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC-PROFESSIONAL CONFERENCE BDC 2021 BEGINS

Organized by the Faculty of Economics of the University of Zenica, the two-day IX international scientific and professional conference BDC 2021 - State and perspectives of the digital transformation of the business of the Western Balkan countries began today in the Zenica hotel. The conference was organized by the Faculty of Economics at the University of Zenica in cooperation with the Faculty of Economics at the University of Belgrade, the Faculty of Economics at the University of Sarajevo, the Faculty of Economics at the Podgorica University of Montenegro, the Faculty of Economics at the University of Kragujevac, the Faculty of Economics at the JJ Strossmayer University in Osijek and the Faculty of Economics at the University of Tuzla.

On behalf of the Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, congratulations and welcome were sent by Chief of Staff, Dr.Sc. Spahija Kozlić, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Zenica-Doboj Canton and Mrs. Vanja Udiljak, representative of the Ministry of Economy of Zenica-Doboj Canton.

The conference was officially opened by Prof. Ph.D.Sc. Jusuf Duraković, rector of the University of Zenica. "It is a great honor for me, as rector, that within our University there is a faculty such as the Faculty of Economics, which today brings together economics faculties from the region. I am especially glad to see distinguished businessmen here, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce, and this gives me hope that our Faculty of Economics will be the leading faculty in this region in terms of intensive cooperation with the real sector. We live in a time when we need all transformations: energy, political, scientific, especially digital transformation that awaits us all in the future," said Prof. Ph.D. Jusuf Drukaović in his opening address.

Presentations at the conference were given by eminent experts in this field: Prof. dr. Velimir Sirća, Prof. Dr. Nebojša Janićijević, Prof. Dr. Aziz Šunje and Prof. dr. Jasmin Halebić. Prof. dr. was among the presenters today. Zlatko Lagumdžija, who sent congratulations to the organizer, Faculty of Economics, University of Zenica. "The organization of such a gathering is a big deal for Zenica. Zenica is known as a city of heavy industry, but the proof that a change can be made is the organization of such a gathering, behind which young people full of knowledge and enthusiasm are standing." - pointed out Prof. Dr. Zlatko Lagumdžija."
