THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ISLAMIC FACULTY OF EDUCATION IN ZENICA WAS CELEBRATED

Yesterday, the Faculty of Islamic Pedagogy of the University of Zenica celebrated its 30th anniversary with the Formal Academy, held in the Faculty's new amphitheater.

The ceremony was attended by reisul-ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein-ef. Kavazović, Mufti of Zenica Hafiz Mevludin-ef. Dizdarević, other officials of the Rijaset of the Islamic Community, academic staff of the University of Zenica, directors of the institutions of the Islamic Community and deans of the faculties of the Islamic Community, alumni and former employees of the Faculty, chief imams, students and other guests.

On this occasion, Reisul-ulema was presented with a charter for exceptional contribution to the development of the Faculty and affirmation of the Faculty's reputation in the country and abroad.

The dean of the Faculty, Muharem Adilović, also addressed those present, who recalled the time when the Faculty was launched in 1993, stressing that then, in new circumstances, the need for this type of educational institution was recognized.

The rector of the University of Zenica, Jusuf Duraković, pointed out that the anniversary of this faculty is a confirmation that the people who submitted the initiative for the establishment of the Faculty were the management. He reminded that the decision for the Faculty to become a full member of UNZE is a message that this Faculty should be treated like any higher education institution. In his address, he emphasized the merits of the Islamic community and reisul-ulema Kavazović in securing funds for the purchase of the new Faculty building. In addition, he emphasized that great merit also belongs to Dean Adilović.
