MY ERASMUS+ EXPERIENCE, SEMIR MUJEZINOVIĆ, Faculty of Law
Considering that we are in the most beautiful years of our lives, we owe it to ourselves to make the most of them and live a youth that we will remember. Seeing the Erasmus competition that offers 6 months of living and studying in one of the most beautiful countries in the world, Spain, I did everything to take advantage of that opportunity. The paperwork from the university and the entire process of obtaining a visa was not difficult at all, and soon I was packing my things and looking for accommodation in beautiful Andalusia.
Since the establishment of the Faculty of Law in Zenica, not a single student has dared to take this step, or rather to go to this very country, and I had no one to ask for advice about the faculty itself, exams and lectures. That, and my absolute lack of knowledge of the Spanish language, did not deter me from embarking on an adventure that would turn out to be the best half of my life. In the meantime, three more colleagues from Zenica, my future roommates, were accepted and we landed in sunny Malaga at the end of January.
Enchanted by the scenery, natural beauty and historical sights of Spain upon arrival, we knew we had made no mistake. In the next 6 months, we traveled the entire region. Seville, Granada, Cordoba, Madrid, Lisbon and of course our temporary home Jaen. From each of the mentioned cities, bringing unforgettable memories and anecdotes. The number of friends of all possible nationalities, races and religious affiliations that you meet during that period is huge and priceless. Each of us was an ambassador of our country, we even made Bosnian tufahija and prepared Bosnian cuisine for our friends from South Korea! Studying and daily communication in English greatly prepares you for future challenges. You even have the option to study and pass the Spanish language, and include it in your CV. Certainly, this is a challenge that is well worth it. The Erasmus program delighted me so much that I have already applied and been accepted for a new exchange in Germany.
Finally, I would add that the only negative side of the exchange is that it has to end, and I strongly recommend everyone to apply for the University of Zenica competitions!
