22.12.2017. PARTICIPATION OF UNZA IN THE CELEBRATION OF 60 YEARS OF THE UNIVERSITY IN SHKODA

The UNZE delegation, which consisted of vice-rector Prof. Dr. Malik Čabaravdić and Prof. Dr. Darko Petković, represented the University at the ceremonial academy of the University of Shkodër on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of this higher education organization. The Universities of Zenica and Shkodër have signed a bilateral cooperation protocol and are partners in several realized projects as well as projects that are in the preparation stages of certain EU programs. In the crowded theater hall of the city of Shkodra, an academy was held, in which, in addition to the staff of the University of Shkodra, students and guests, the President of Albania, Mr. Iljir Meta, who emphasized the importance of both the University of Shkodër and the overall higher education in Albania for the transformation and progress of Albanian society. In the speech of the rector of the University of Skadar, a cross-section through the period of six decades was given, and appropriate awards were presented to the most deserving individuals for the development of this institution. The UNZE delegation handed over a painting with motifs of Bosnian landscapes as a gift and a sign of remembrance of this festive day for UNI Skadar, as well as hope for an even wider cooperation between the two institutions.
