OSCE MISSION REPRESENTATIVES VISITED THE UNIVERSITY OF ZENICA
Representatives of the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Office in Travnik, visited the University of Zenica today, where they met with the Rector, Prof. Dr. Jusuf Duraković.
During the meeting, they discussed current and future cooperation, as well as projects that the University of Zenica and the OSCE Mission plan to jointly implement in the coming period. Special attention was paid to issues of improving academic autonomy, strengthening institutional stability and protecting academic freedoms.
OSCE representatives also showed interest in the current court proceedings regarding the relationship between the University and its founder, and the actions of the Board of Directors, especially in the context of preserving the independence of the University and the process of selecting the leadership.
They also discussed future forms of cooperation between the OSCE Mission and the University of Zenica, as well as the Faculty of Law of the University of Zenica. By the end of the year, it is planned to sign an agreement on cooperation with the Faculty of Law, which will further strengthen partnership relations and open opportunities for the implementation of joint projects.
Rector Prof. Dr. Sc. Jusuf Duraković thanked the representatives of the OSCE Mission for their visit and the interest shown, emphasizing that the support of international institutions such as the OSCE is of exceptional importance for the development and preservation of academic values in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
