The conference also presented data on the number of students enrolled in the first and second cycle of studies at the University in the academic year 2023/2024. year. Vice-Rector for Teaching and Student Affairs Prof. Ph.D.Sc. Maša Alijević pointed out that the management of the University of Zenica is satisfied with the number of enrolled students, and that the number of enrolled students is slightly higher than last year. This year, too, the greatest interest was in Software Engineering at the Polytechnic Faculty and the General Medicine study program at the Faculty of Medicine, but an increased interest among students at the Faculty of Philosophy and Law was also noticed.
And at the end, two very important projects that the University of Zenica received were presented.
Prof. Ph.D.Sc. Malik Čabaravdić briefly presented the Erasmus + project - Strengthening capacities and mechanisms for improving the quality assurance system in higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This project is of great importance because for the first time someone from Bosnia and Herzegovina is the project coordinator. Until now, Universities and various institutions have participated in the project, but never as coordinators. Therefore, the University of Zenica will coordinate with twenty different partners from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Slovenia.
The second project is the GiZ project Strengthening Innovation and Digitalization of small and medium enterprises (Strengthening innovation and digitalization in small and medium enterprises), which is very important due to the further strengthening of the cooperation of the University of Zenica with the real sector.
