The Center for Energy Efficiency of the University of Zenica was established by the Decision of the Scientific and Teaching Council of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, with the prior approval of the Senate of the University of Zenica in November 2021.

The basic role of the Center is to be a bearer, corrective and participant exclusively at the academic level and completely transparently, and to contribute to all aspects and flows of the energy transition of society.

The Center's field of work is energy efficiency and renewable energy sources through practical activities in the sphere of auditing, certification, consulting, education, diagnosis, design, audit and supervision, measurement and control, and research and development.

With the establishment of the Center, the University of Zenica becomes the scientific-professional backbone of practical activities in the field of energy, energy efficiency and renewable energy sources, as well as broader contextual, theoretical advisory activities, production and use of energy, and its consequences in the environment.
