On Thursday, May 8, 2025, a successful working meeting was held at the University of Zenica with representatives of partner institutions from France, Germany, Austria and Turkey. The guests were representatives of the University of Poitiers, Friedrich-Schiller University in Jena, University of Leoben and University of Cankiri.
During a day filled with meetings, exchange of experiences and development of joint ideas, previous cooperation was confirmed and next steps on joint international projects were agreed upon.
The program began with a welcome reception and a presentation by representatives of the University of Zenica, held in the NNV hall of the Faculty of Law and Economics. In their introductory remarks, the attendees were addressed by Prof. Dr. Hasan Avdušinović, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Quality Assurance, Amra Muslić Halilović, Coordinator of the Office for International Cooperation, and Prof. Dr. Fuad Hadžikadunić, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research. On that occasion, they discussed previous meetings and future plans for inter-institutional cooperation.
After the introductory part, a working meeting was held with representatives of the Center for Bosnian as a Foreign Language and colleagues from language studies. The focus of the discussion was the development of a joint project and further strengthening of institutional connections.
The gathering continued in the French Corner at the Faculty of Philosophy, where the guests met with students and assistants – participants of the initial French language course, which is the result of previously established cooperation between the University of Zenica and the University of Poitiers. Through interactive activities, including conversation in French and board games, the participants had the opportunity to improve their language skills in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The aim of the meeting was to encourage the exchange of experiences among students and to further promote the French language and culture in the local community. In parallel with these activities, visits to companies and technical faculties were organized for representatives from this field, as well as classes for students at the Faculty of Economics.
This meeting represents another step towards strengthening international cooperation at the University of Zenica and creating new opportunities for students and faculty.
