A workshop within the SMEQA project has started in Banja Luka
Today, March 24, 2025, on University of Banja Luka, the two-day workshop within the Erasmus+ project officially started SMEQA – Strengthening capacities and mechanisms for improving the quality assurance system in higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Workshop titled "Support to external quality assurance: Strengthening the capacity of quality assurance systems in higher education" brought together participants from the academic community, representatives of quality assurance agencies, ministries, as well as experts from European Union countries. The event is held at the premises of Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Banja Luka.
In the introductory part, they addressed the audience representatives of the University of Zenica, as project coordinators, emphasizing the importance of the SMEQA project for establishing a functional, harmonized and internationally recognized quality assurance system in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the first day of the workshop, presentations and interactive sessions were held, led by representatives of AZVO (Agency for Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Croatia) and NAQIS (National Agency for Quality in Higher Education of the Republic of Slovenia)Special focus is placed on the role of quality assurance agencies, support to higher education institutions, and dialogue with decision-makers and relevant institutions.
The workshop continues tomorrow, March 25th, with topics that include training experts in QA procedures, the role of students in the quality assurance system, as well as planning further activities within the project.
