The Dean of the UNZE Faculty of Medicine participated in the Conference of Deans of Medical Faculties dedicated to family medicine

On March 21 and 22, 2024, the Conference of Deans of Medical Faculties of our region was held in Banja Luka, entitled "Strengthening the capacity of the departments of family/family/general medicine at medical faculties in order to improve primary health care". The conference was attended by deans, vice-deans and teachers of the Department of Family Medicine from 18 medical faculties from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and North Macedonia, and on behalf of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zenica, the dean Prof. Dr. sc. Harun Hodzic. Representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF took part in the work of the Conference.

After a rich discussion and presentation of family/family/general medicine in the curricula of undergraduate teaching at medical faculties, the signing of the "Banjaluča Declaration" was started, with which the deans of medical faculties expressed their readiness and gave support to the academic development of this profession through the implementation and improvement of the curriculum of undergraduate teaching at medical faculties .
