The first international circular economy spring school in Pula was successfully implemented
Nine second-year students of the Civil Engineering study program participated in the first international multidisciplinary spring school on circular economy from April 13 to 19, 2025. The school was organized as a combined CEEPUS and Erasmus+ mobility at Juraj Dobrila University in Pula, with the participation of students and professors from the University of Zenica, University of Tuzla, Juraj Dobrila University in Pula (Croatia), STU – Slovenská technická univerzita v Bratislave (Slovakia) and Brno University of Technology (Czech Republic).
After a set of lectures on circular economy, green building certification, sustainable materials in construction and renewable energy sources, the students had a series of workshops where they worked in teams to design sustainable solutions for the new building of the university campus in Pula. The school also organized a visit to the company Rudan doo in Žminj, which designs and develops green building solutions, and they also participated in an educational game in the medieval Grimani castle.
This spring school showed that contemporary problems require a multidisciplinary approach, and students worked in international teams that included students of architecture, civil engineering, and economics.
