The first meeting of partners on the Erasmus+ project "HURBE" was held in Rome

Part of the project team of the Erasmus+ project "Healthy urban environment: Development of higher education in architecture and construction in Bosnia and Herzegovina" (HURBE: Healthy Urban Environment: Developing Higher Education in Architecture and Construction in Bosnia and Herzegovina) participated in the first meeting of the project consortium, which was held in Rome, at La Sapienza University, from February 10 to 14, 2019.

At the meeting, detailed plans for the implementation of the project were agreed, and the first activity will be the equipping of laboratories worth EUR 60,000 each at each of the three partner universities from BiH (University "Džemal Bijedić" Mostar, University of Sarajevo and University of Zenica), in which classes on the new subject "Healthy Urban Environment", which these universities will introduce into their curricula through the project with the support of partners from the University of La Sapienza from Rome (Italy), the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy from Sofia (Bulgaria) and the University Zagreb (Croatia).

The next activity is already planned for the second half of March, when a five-day workshop on ECTS credits and project management will be held at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Sarajevo, and in May teachers and associates of the University of Zenica will visit the laboratories of the University of Sofia.

The project is fully financed by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ program in the field of capacity building of higher education.
