The first phase of the promotion of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology under the title 'Be a student for a day' was implemented.

In the first phase of the project "Promotion of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology" in cooperation with secondary schools in the city of Zenica, an activity called 'Be a student for a day' was implemented. Students of the fourth grade of secondary schools visited the Faculty and together with the students attended lectures and exercises, which were planned according to the schedule for that day. The goal of the activity was for the graduating students, future freshmen, to get to know first-hand the way of studying and 'life' at the university. Over 100 students from secondary schools in the city of Zenica signed up for the visit. The students who expressed their desire to visit the Faculty were divided into 6 groups and the visits were carried out in the period from March 16 to 23. After the visit, the students thought that the idea was very interesting and that during the visit they saw and learned new facts about the Faculty and studying in general. We hope that this visit will motivate students to continue their education at one of the technical faculties in Bosnia and Herzegovina or abroad.

In the second part of the project, a competition will be organized for fourth-grade high school students and first-year students in presenting scientific and technical topics. A large number of competitors were registered. The competition is planned for April 5, 2018. The bearers of project activities in front of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Technology are Assoc. Ph.D. Dijana Dujak and Prof. Ph.D. Hasan Avdušinović. Cash prizes are also provided for the winners of the said competition.

We would like to thank all high school principals and teachers who supported this project, as well as professors and assistants who participated in its realization.
