The Rector of the University of Zenica and representatives of the Faculty of Medicine attended the "Nobel days" event at the University of Split

At the invitation of Prof. dr. Dragan Ljutić, Rector of the University of Split and Prof. Dr. Zoran Džogaš, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine in Split, and Prof. Dr. Dragan Primorac, Prof. Dr. Damir Kukić, rector of the University of Zenica, prof. Ph.D. Harun Hodžić, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Assoc. Ph.D. Adnan Mujezinović, vice dean for teaching and student affairs of the Faculty of Medicine, attended the "Nobel days" event organized by the Faculty of Medicine in Split, which was held on September 3 and 4, 2019. years. At this year's "Nobel days", lectures were held and the following participated in the discussion: prof. Joachim Frank, biophysicist, who received the Nobel Prize for Chemistry in 2017, for the development of the cryostatic electron microscope, prof. Richard Roberts, biochemist and molecular biologist, who received the Nobel Prize in Medicine or Physiology for the discovery of separate genes in 1993, and prof. Georg Bednorz, mineralogist and physicist, who received the most prestigious award in 1987 for physics, i.e. for the discovery of the superconductivity of ceramic materials at a temperature of 35 Kelvin.

"Nobel days" represent an excellent opportunity for students and teachers to hear top scientific achievements and to talk with Nobel Prize winners through a panel discussion. The main organizers of this event are students of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Split.

The visit of representatives of the University of Zenica to the University of Split is also significant for the development of cooperation between these two institutions, as well as for the development of doctoral studies at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zenica.
