The ProTalent 2025 regional competition was held at the Polytechnic Faculty.

On Saturday, December 20, 2025, a regional competition for freshmen and high school students from the Zenica-Doboj and Central Bosnia Cantons – ProTalent 2025 – was held. The competition was implemented in partnership with the Polytechnic Faculty of the University of Zenica and the Kreativci Zenica Association. The goal of the project is to popularize science, promote excellence, develop creativity and encourage teamwork among young people.

Over 100 participants participated, including over 60 competitors from 13 high schools in the Central Balkans and the Central Balkans and freshmen from the Polytechnic Faculty, 15 high school teachers, 15 volunteers, staff from the Polytechnic Faculty and representatives of software companies in the roles of lecturers, controllers and members of the scoring committee.

The competition was held on the topic of Cyber Security and was divided into 2 categories: individual (coding) and group (application development). The winners of the competition also won cash prizes.

The awardees in the individual category "coding" are:

1. place: Faris Valjevac (MSŠ Hazim Šabanović Visoko)
   2nd place: Anel Turić (MSTŠ Travnik)
   3rd place: Nedim Gekić (MSŠ Gornji Vakuf)

The award winners in the "application" group category are:

1. 1st place: Fsociety team (PTF Zenica – Nihad Jašarević, Dženan Kazazović)
   2nd place: team Patas (PTF Zenica – Mario Šantić, Toni Žepačkić, Adin Saletović)
   3rd place: Codebreakersy team (MSTŠ Travnik – Amina Pripoljac, Namir Buzađija, Emin Mujić)

As part of the competition, a lecture was held for high school teachers on the topic of “AI in Education.” All participants received commemorative gifts, certificates of participation, diplomas, and letters of appreciation.

We would like to thank the Federal Ministry of Education and Science and the Office of the Prime Minister of Zenica-Doboj Canton for co-financing the competition, the members of the commission and staff for their time, the volunteers for their help with the organization, and all the competitors for their participation. We congratulate the winners on their achievements and wish them continued success. The intention is to turn ProTalent into a regular competition that will be organized every year.
