Visit to the University of East Sarajevo

The guests of the University of Zenica were Prof. Ph.D. Jelena Krunić - vice-rector for science, art, research and development of the University of East Sarajevo and v. prof. Ph.D. Marko Gutalj – vice-rector for international cooperation and quality assurance of the University of East Sarajevo. First, a short meeting was held in the Rector's Office of the University of Zenica, where the respected rector, prof. Ph.D. Jusuf Duraković welcomed the guests, reminded them of the good cooperation between the two Universities, and expressed his satisfaction with the planned holding of the working meeting of the Vice-Chancellors of both Universities in an effort to expand and improve cooperation. The meeting was attended by prof. Ph.D. Fuad Hadžikadunić - vice-rector for scientific and research work of the University of Zenica, prof. Ph.D. Hasan Avdušinović - vice-rector for international cooperation and quality assurance of the University of Zenica, prof. Ph.D. Maša Alijević – vice-rector for teaching and student affairs of the University of Zenica and Amra Muslić-Halilović, B.Sc. prof. - coordinator of the Office for inter-university and international cooperation of the University of Zenica. Mr. Rector gave full support to further cooperation in all areas of university interests, especially in the areas of scientific research, participation in international projects, implementation of classes in existing and planned new study areas, etc.

After that, an operational working meeting was held in which the existing experiences and results in the field of scientific and research work of both Universities were discussed in more detail, with an emphasis on the transfer of the experience of the University of East Sarajevo in achieving a better Webometrics position, and the activities of the University of Zenica in this regard so far. direction. Possible mechanisms for achieving better visibility of all activities and results, connection to databases, animation of teachers and associates in the field of NIR and publication of works in reference databases (WoS, Scopus, SCIndex, Google Scholar, ...), cooperation with the economy and public institutions, improving the conditions for the advancement of teachers and associates, realization of doctoral and master's research, etc. Also, the possibilities of joint application on domestic and international projects, as well as mobility projects of teachers, associates and students, were considered.

We would like to thank the respected Vice-Rector - prof. Ph.D. Krunić and the respected Vice-Rector - v. prof. Ph.D. Gutalj, on the implementation of the working meeting, transfer of good practices and experiences, as well as readiness for further expansion and improvement of joint cooperation in the fields of NIR, international cooperation and quality, as well as other areas of common interest of both Universities.
